How do you plan your dives? You don’t? Not so good. Using tables? Better. With your dive computer? Smarter. But now there is an even better way.
With DiveSimulator you can plan your dives directly on your iPad. Trace the intended profile with our finger, either as a continuous line or defining key points which are automatically connected with a straight line, and DiveSimulator will calculate the entire dive and display the values, step by step, on the virtual dive computer screen. Even more, you can see the evolution of nitrogen saturation in your tissues and understand the influence of the dive profile on the ongassing and offgassing for each tissue and determination of deco stops (when pertinent).
DiveSimulator is based on the Mares-Wienke RGBM algorithm as implemented in the Mares Icon HD Net Ready.
The multi-color graphic representation of the tissue saturation is very useful for instructors training new divers. It provides a clear representation, in 5s increments throughout the dive, of tissue load evolution, whether a tissue is ongassing or offgassing, when a tissue is requiring a deco stop, what the influence of a safety stop is, and much more.
For advanced divers planning decompression dives, simply interrupt the dive at planned start of final ascent (say, 20m/60ft) and let DiveSimulator determine the ascent schedule.
DiveSimulator is free but limited to dives up to 30m/90ft and 45min using air as breathing gas.
An In-App purchase allows you to extend the range to 60m/180ft, 120min dive time and Nitrox (predefined to 32%, 36% and 40%). User-defined Nitrox and In-dive gas switching up to three different o2 concentrations is also available with this purchase.
